It was very difficult this morning to explain to Leif just how much of a fabulous sh*tshow the 1967 film, “Casino Royale” was. Still one of my favorites, it was stitched together by from 3 incomplete films, each piece from a different director.

It’s such a beautiful mess! I love how Peter Sellers walked off the set and they had to hastily revise the film to factor in his abrupt disappearance. Also, it’s where the original version of “the look of love” came from.

All of this, because I quoted the film’s Frau Hoffner this morning, “You are inzane, my child, qvuite inzane.”
