Didn't get a chance to explain more, but it made me think. If you're queer, does horror fiction (lit or film) feel queer to you? Was that queerness your "in", or was there something else that attracted you to the genre?

Was at a (queer) wedding recently and was sat next to a beautiful, classy, fancy babe. Talking about #horror and genre fiction in general, she said she was unfamiliar with tropes and styles and hadn't really found an "in". I automatically answered,"it's inherently queer, so that's one way in."
