Exactly. I got in line, saw how chatty the cashier was with the person in front of me, and switched queues. But no, they’re all like that😅

I just went into a Trader Joe’s for the first time in nigh on a decade, and I’d forgotten how friendly the cashiers are. But I’m from New England, and this seems unnatural to me. I think I prefer my cashiers non-talkative and perhaps a bit on the surly side.

September is usually my favorite month, but this one has been pretty crummy. And this morning's icing on the crummy cake was being told I have I have to take antibiotics for Lyme disease (fortunately it was caught early). But seriously? Lyme disease? I'm so ticked off.

I mean, I wouldn’t exactly be swayed by this kid’s palate. At 17, his favorite foods are still pasta with butter and plain cheese pizza😏

My son discovered that the only candy left from the mix we bought were the little Hershey’s bars. Note that with a German mom, he has been exposed to a lot of good chocolate in his life. His verdict: “Yeah, that’s…aggressively mediocre.” 😆

My youngest daughter and her friends are holding a bake sale at an upcoming town event, and one of her friends (12yo) sent everyone a survey to organize times, locations, nature of bakes goods, etc. I envy her organizational skills. I'm ready to hire this kid as a project manager.

I got into this exact argument on FB (a platform I rarely use anymore). Someone I thought was smart said they could never vote for Harris because she was against free speech, even if that “free speech” fuels violence against minorities and essentially silences them. It’s a take, I guess.

These are not two names I ever thought I’d see on a book cover together.
