In real life we go on and move on to the next thing but in stories, those are happy endings. That's where we leave the characters to go on to the next adventure. The reason you feel like these are not endings in life the way they are in fiction, is because you're already planning the sequel.
In real life we call them beginnings BECAUSE they are happy. But they're the exact same endings you get in the movies. The first kiss. The wedding. The baby being born happy and healthy. The moving to a new town or getting an exciting new job opportunity that you fought for.
Listen I am ace as hell and I do not read romance but this? This I can get behind. Happiness is hard. Satisfying happiness is even harder. We have this ridiculous notion tragedy is more honest because in real life endings are painful but seriously think about all of the happy endings you've seen
Honestly I don't even know why I was tagged in this. Just have the threading worked I think
Yeah this is definitely a post by someone who cares about rape victims. It's nice you have someone you can use to make you feel worth something. Kind of gross that it's somebody's rape victims.
Why? Does one of those things have to do with the other, or do you just like using the suffering of others to feel smart somehow?
The idea that men are "toxic" (sexist) because they've never seen a nice male character is bonkers. (1) Men have controlled the entertainment industry for ages, we literally never stop portraying ourselves favorably. (2) Sexism is not accidental! It gives us an unfair advantage! That's its point!
That is both incredibly high and incredibly damning praise and that's impressive
Season 1 was so beautiful and I was so excited. And now I just... I hate all of this. So many beautiful things just. Horrible, now
