The Bone Season was interesting, although I confess I read the old version rather than the new, author approved edition. I would say it needs quite a lot of trust in the first few chapters, because it throws lots of concepts and nouns at the reader, but by the end, I was completely absorbed!

I read the old version when it first came out but must confess I remember very little of it! However, the first two books in her Roots of Chaos universe are some of my favourite books of all time, so I’d love to give the series another go!
