Years ago on FB, after a neighbor was killed by her adopted pitbull (which was quickly executed by cops), I suggested restricting the breeding and possession of certain breeds that don’t fit modern society. After all, we created them thru selective mutation. I was called a “dog genocider.”

People got big mad even tho I made it clear I wasn’t calling for euthanization. I just wanted to avoid needless suffering by both dogs and people. All domestic dogs are the same species that have mutated for different traits. We have a responsibility to undo the mistakes breeders made in the past.
