It is June 6, Joann’s Fabrics. We haven’t even had the summer solstice yet.

Photo of an aisle at Joann’s fabric that has Jack o lanterns and skulls and other assorted Halloween decor.

Fabric and craft stores are immune to calendar boundaries. It takes time to make stuff. If I had to wait for October to start making Halloween things, nothing would be done on time.

And then they wonder why nobody is going to brick&mortar shops no more...

Halloween patterns and fabric make sense in June, projects take time, but putting ready to go decor out is just ridiculous.

Craft stores get a pass; people want to get a head start on making this years' decor.

Yes but crafting season needs to start about 6 months early. Bedazzling takes time!

I saw an article about Apple’s Back to School sale starting, and school here hasn’t even ended yet.

Michaels is doing a similar line they call their "Nevermore" collection. Though it's a little less blatantly Halloween. I have a feeling this is Joann trying to empty their warehouses since they filed for bankruptcy a while back.
