If they wanted a quick win that can be said to go with “Wilson did legal gay sex, abortion and the Race Relations Act, Blair did civil partnerships, Brown did EA2010, Starmer did x” (and fair enough), I don’t understand why not go for full de jure abortion on demand. WAY less problematic surely
