And sometimes they fly too close to the sun, like my upright freezer manufacturer who is having appliances die within their 1year warranty often enough for multiple Reddit threads…that I have just found when googling what is wrong with my 10 mo. old freezer!

Refrigerators and freezers used to have two failure modes: the pump or the door handles, and either would take a decade or more to fail. That modern large appliances break so quickly is an enormous indictment of the entire system.

I’m currently torn by oof only 10 mo. And whew still in warranty! Cause yikes, if it had happened in just 3 more months I would have been out all that money!
