You can be excited to vote for Kamala, find the Walz family adorable, *and* think the DNC was craven and wrong in denying a platform to the Uncommitted movement. I think it's exciting to be in a political moment that can contain all those things. There is room to grow and the momentum for it.

Why, it's almost like you don't have to agree on everything with the Harris campaign or the DNC, but can still be enthusiastic about voting for Kamala because the alternative is a literal fascist. What craziness.

the tension is in the name--the DNC convention is a ceremony of committal, featuring speakers from across the spectrum, Republicans even, who nonetheless have *committed* to voting for the nominees it makes sense to be wary of platforming people who by their very name are not there yet

When you see politicians for what they are, and you realize that they intentionally and happily uphold a very ugly and violent system that harms all of us, it's pretty hard to see them as "adorable"
