Regarding cost of design, as with any development it depends entirely what it is you want. If a company wants to convert the entirety of their works to any new VTT platform that's going to represent an extreme investment cost. Individual books on well-supported systems? much less expensive. (2/2)

I'm not sure that's fair or accurate. Certainly our VTT is no more of a 'minefield for pirated content' than any other VTT-and in some cases, less of one. We work diligently to check that packages on our listings respect copyright, and our premium content is gated behind an activation system. (1/2)

It might surprise you that most of the work for Foundry VTT's PF2e system is done by an awesome group of volunteer developers. The premium content products are created by either Sigil (third party company) or by Foundry VTT's own staff, w/budgets that are reasonable. Biggest line item is labour.
