Honestly, same, I rarely call it a doodle though, because I'm tired of people getting triggered by it ... But I rarely sketch/thumbnail out things first, sometimes I just want to crosshatch or practice color theory without going through the whole process back and forth.

Yeah ngl I kinda forgot how people react to it, but now with bsky growing I probably should remember to label it differently. 💀💀

I agree, if I am just doing something with no planning or a study, it's a sketch, but sometimes that really bothers people if it looks too "finished" from their point of view
