NYPD has started tear gassing inside Hamilton Hall at Columbia, per student radio WKCR
I feel like the frog sitting in the water that's finally like "Oh. Oh fuck. Oh this water is boiling. Oh no."
They literally said all of these same words about the BLM protests.
Kent State was supposed to be a cautionary tale, not a playbook.
Columbia AAUP chapter faculty statement, posted online by classics professor Joseph A. Howley and read aloud on WKCR: "Columbia faculty have spent the day offering our help to defuse the situation on Columbia’s campus and have been rebuffed or ignored."
I strongly recommend following Columbia Spectator coverage too, and not just because I'm a former Speccie. Their coverage has been tremendous throughout this.
The only thing that actually scares them is the donors and politicians calling for them to lose their jobs and/or funding.
