Love this book DEAR STREET by Lindsay Zier-Vogel and Caroline Bonne-Muller from Kids Can Press. It's great for talking about different seasons. I recently included some teaching ideas for this one on my blog: andrea-mack.blogspot.com/2024/09/lear...#kidlit#cankidlit#edusky
Thank you!
I mostly use matte medium. Sometimes gel medium for thicker pieces.
Here's one from playing in my sketchbook this week. Also the "art play" ones you mentioned. #artplay#mixedmediacollage
Yes, that sounds like a wonderful idea!
Or writing about the ginormous carrot while you eat pie?
Still waiting for the book!! This really needs to be a collaborative picture book with you both!!
The trick to good pie crust is being gentle when mixing and rolling, according to my mom whose pies were delicious. I have inherited her ability to make flaky and tender crust but not her skill at rolling it out so I always have a pieced together bit somewhere.
Ripped paper collage is so much fun! I did a little of that this week myself. I also discovered some baby guppies in my fish tank. Watching my fish is a quiet moment of reflection every day.
