I ~sort of~ agree with this, but there's a fine line between not normalizing the fash and recognizing that a solid third of the country, and a distinct majority of white people—dudes I'm particular—not only accept this stuff, they actively want it. *Always* be aware of how much dry tinder there is.
Taking social media options one step further, a great art project would be to populate a new social media platform presenting an alternate history where things are going well, maybe Gore was elected in 2000, etc. Then we could dive in and out of that one and have a measuring stick where...
