Totally, Marathon had this textual narrative element like you were reading a story bit by bit in between the action that you don’t really get with Doom Durandal feels very prescient with the multiple AIs drama and some of them eventually going “rampant” lol

also literally "I know who you are/you are destiny" is one of the best narrative buildup and releases ever
