I post pre-prints of new stuff when possible, and the only legit concern I have is that it can compromise blind peer review. Not to say that blind peer review is an absolute good, but can be important for some folks in some areas
Yeah same. My preprint experience over the years has been 80% nobody notices, 10% it gets some early buzz, 10% people spot things we can fix before submission. But I try to always be mindful that even if I don’t mind blinding issues, that’s not a luxury everyone has
