I sympathise with those who are outraged at the return of the Chagos Islands to its inhabitants. To show solidarity, I suggest that those who are outraged should pledge that their own homes can be flattened for the construction of military bases, with no compensation.

The absolute bullshit, the lying and the propaganda is off the scale.

They're not being returned to the inhabitants, who wanted a right of return and say on whether to be British or Mauritian or independent. What they've got is a right of return but not to the island with leccy or fresh water, under a government that treats them as 2nd class citizens.
