He's only addressing ageing, retired, Brexit loving (and dying out) voters. He doesn't care about younger, well-off, centre right, remainer ex-Tory voters whose businesses were hit hard by brexit. In my area at least they flocked to the Libdems. He just spews this foetid shite out for the ££.

That doesn't make his point any less incomprehensible. In what way is Britain actually losing anything by surrendering sovereignty over BIOT? It's a deliberately-thoroughly-empty archipelago with a military base on it that is staying on it anyway. It's like getting upset that it's sunny in France.
