Thanks, it came out pretty good. I usually avoid contrasts with marines due to the flat panelling but these look okay. This was very much about us enjoying painting together so making the process fun was more important than the end result anyway.
I do like contrasts. They are great to get something decent on the tabletop. I use them a fair bit for non- display stuff. Matthew loved doing the bases on these. I think that was his fun.

The scheme was based on an army in white dwarf in 1994. Flamey red offsetting the dark green. Very 90s! Wonderful!

Cheers, the guard is meant to evoke late-19th century British army. I got a far as painting one guardsman and the sentinel then got distracted and haven't come back to that project. Maybe when the IG get their new releases next year.
