It is! I donāt mind - the cinema is my happy place. I just love being there. I like taking a punt. Sometimes it works out well, other times not so much. But itās always nice to watch films on big screens!
No, the trailer didnāt make me want to see it at all, but I wanted to go to the cinema and it was the only film that worked timing wise. It was completely different to what I was expecting from the trailer, too. I still have no idea what it was. Completely off the rails.
Knowing nothing about it, I just watched Megalopolis. Utterly baffled. FFC got quite lost in the woods and didnāt find his way out. Itās like Baz Luhrmann directed an episode of Bernardās Watch set on Pandora inside a Willy Wonka restricted access test lab..and not in a good way.
Odd question - no substance to it once you peel back the surface. Neither ārightā nor āhappyā mean much. I guess itās getting at the suffering we bring ourselves if we need the last word and argue about everything for the sake of it. But there are definitely situations when integrity matters most!
When I see the phrase (twice today), "let me explain" on social media, it brings a little bubble of rage to my tummy. Perhaps it triggers my AI detector (the disembodied flavour). But real people say it too. E.g. "I struggled with...but then I realised...let me explain..." š¤«š Maybe just a me thing.
Ok. Product ideaā¦anti-perspirant for witches and wizards: it would be called āEx-Smelly-Arm-Pitsā (it could come in one of those tubes that steels light from bulbs - it would be that but with smells instead of lights and arm pits instead of bulbs.)
The original does have something special about it. The mystery aspect, which canāt be revisited once you know the monster. Aliens is very James Cameron (set pieces and one liners). I found Alien 3 entertaining. The persistent use of the word w****r made me laugh (some British humour too).
Been working through the Alien franchise. Onto Resurrection this evening. Got a favourite?
Somehow managed to pick up XXL boxers. Didnāt realise until I got home from the shop. First thought was, āare these t-shirts?ā, second thought was, āI canāt be bothered to return them, Iāll just wear themā. Thankfully a more reasonable voice convinced me to take them back and exchange them for M.
Such a great band. I remember seeing them play at GB about 20 years ago. Same year as Aqualung. Memorable one for me!
