Ok, this is good.

Sandwich board outside a pub saying:
“What has 4 letters,
sometimes 9 letters,
but never has
5 letters.”

"The ideas were so grisly and paramilitary-sounding that some Trump administration officials began privately referring to them as his plans for “American death squads.”" www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

I don’t hold these against the candidates! But in such cases I have to turn to other references to learn something actually useful.

Reading through job application files and must say: a reference letter that’s over-the-top positive but very short, lacking detail and reasons, isn’t good enough. Frankly, it’s (a few) famous white male academics who sometimes do this, apparently attempting—and failing—to argue from authority.

People wondering why Walz didn’t attack Vance harder at the debate? This is why. Elections are called that for a reason. Voters aren’t asked who best argued that the other person is wrong. They’re asked who the better choice is.

This. We seem, as a society, unable to stop denying this, probably because it's deeply shameful for us to admit that one of our two "normal" pro-democracy parties has crossed the threshold into far right status. But it's sadly true. There have been, in fact, (literally) <thousands> of signs.

I shall never regret citing the KJV in my last book as “Moshe et al. 1611.”

I must be a crazy literalist: until reading the comments I actually had no idea what that was supposed to say. I stared at it uncomprehendingly for several seconds. I’d totally die if that were painted where I live. 😆
