Not familiar with this show in particular, but does Netflix even want us to watch anything? It's almost like going to eat at the restaurant, but after just one bite, they take the food away and throw it in the trash and tell you they're going out of business.

No, you're definitely right about fight vs fate. That seems to be a major theme in both. I'm glad you had such a wholesome and multifaceted experience with Extraordinary :)

I don't think people raved as much about Extraordinary You (at least I didn't see that much enthusiasm among my mutuals when I watched it), but I personally really enjoyed that one. Kim Hye Yoon in a high school setting with tall boi. Yup, I'd say they're similar 😄

A different experience altogether.

I don't think I can do this.. I am stunned. I did not expect to hate it so much. And fans are calling it a masterpiece on Reddit and Letterboxd. How??

My dad used to point out "Hey, that's Kyle MacLachlan!" whenever he saw the actor, because he had been a fan of Twin Peaks. So I always vaguely knew about MacLachlan being in Twin Peaks, but the show itself was before my time.

My exposure to the actor was when he was older and seemed to play weirdo/creepy men like Trey MacDougal in Sex and the City or Orson Hodge in Desperate Housewives.
