Being "almost Jewish" is not a thing. If one started conversion but did not convert, they're not "almost Jewish", they're simply not Jewish. You're correct in your assumption.

Totally valid. Plus you have a ton of friends back home who would love to see you. So she gets gifts and you get a night at the Mag or Nachbar (IDK if those have ever been a hang out for you, I only met you once in person but that was an action).
