I am so exasperated with the clickbait style at NYT that I'll read a headline like that and say to myself "FUCK YOU I don't care what it is." The second hed just conceals the content of the story, that's not even tantalizing.

Suddenly remembered Saved You a Click, and that was a Good Tweeter.

Got worked up enough about this to write a letter to the editor. Talked about how clickbait headlines "turn the hed into a game" by intentionally obscuring the content of a story, and this "abuses the relationship with the reader."
