I would advise against this. Google is not likely to give you an unbiased sampling of important news or cutting journalism. Especially stories against their own interests. Google News is fine for entertainment though.

I get better coverage than with, say, the BBC News app, with more up-to-date sources (although the Beeb is one of them) and genres I am interested in. I like the way it gives me further choices too on any given story. WP, NYT, Guardian, AJ, plus smaller one's I'd never heard of.
