No tracking here. Parents tracking their kids as the default normalises the idea for the next generation that other people have the right to know where you are at any time - that seems so unhealthy to me. Also suggests parents donāt trust kids to look after themselves - very undermining for teens

Yes. Itās tricky. So many people are willing not just to not earn, but to *pay to grow as a writer - competition entries, creative writing courses, self pub - that book buyers donāt have to fund that work. So book prices are unrealistic. Small presses that take risks struggle to break even.
