I LOVE the NYC Shays. What's cool is that two of them ended up operating on shortlines in CNY. 7185 first ended up on the Owasco River RR, then went to the Marcellus & Otisco Lake RR before developing a frame crack. 7187 took 7185's place on the M&OT after the former was returned to NYC, then Lima

Non train related, but Hurricane Helene has become a Cat 4 with max sustained winds of 130 mph and a pressure of 947mb per NHC! This is a nasty, nasty storm, with historic flooding and storm surge expected.
