Hey everyone! Please don't censor the artist name when you post a commission!! No @/ApfelSkai We want to see comments, people want the convenience of clicking the name to follow. Even on twit it was REALLY easy to mute notifications even on our own posts, don't worry about "annoying" artists. 😶🌫️
It's always great to ask first, and likewise, I want the artist to ask if they should tag me! (most times I want to be tagged because I like to see comments too, but they'll break the @ and I'm sad haha)
Omg yes, I was wondering that all the time too
I do this when the artist does not have an account on said platform :3
For a while on Twitter, I noticed if you @ someone, Twitter either wouldn’t let you post it or would automatically flag it as spam and hide it from everyone’s feeds. I guess that’s not a problem here
Yeah, especially because manual searching can be annoying or just plain buggy (especially on Twitter) so even for people that WANT to search the account might disappear It takes nothing to add an @ and muting is easy
YEAH FR, it's like, adding an extra step for people to find us, even if it's something as simple as manually searching. Not being able to click the name means a lot of people probably won't bother with a manual search.
I never understood that mentality.
The only time I "@/" on here is if the person doesn't have a bluesky account just to prevent it from going to a random profile otherwise I'm always tagging the artist 🧡
Ohhhh on first glance I thought it was something like people cropping signatures out of art. This is MUCH less egregious, but I'll take note of it 💙
Many of the people in my circle would slash the name on Twt, but I'm not sure it works the same on here where an artist gets pinged every time they're mentioned. I've been leaving the @'d name and so far no one has said anything!
