A composite image of Mercury's position in the sky over a sunset in Spain. The image was created by taking several photos of Mercury at different times during March 2000 and superimposing them on a single photogenic sunset. Each photo was taken when the Sun was 10 degrees below the horizon. Mercury can be seen as a line of white dots in the sky, moving in an arc.
