Weekend 4 of no working from home: we did some house organising, had a drink at a neighbourhood bar, walked up a big hill with friends, and ate well.

If you were a teenage fan of the OC and specifically Seth, circa 2006, you need to be watching Nobody Wants This.

Authors I have taught in the last year to state sch children, 11-18: Orwell, Tennyson, Keats, Wordsworth, Dickens, Larkin, Shakespeare. All apart from Larkin are on GCSE specs (and maybe he is on a diff spec). I didn't teach Chaucer, my A level co-teacher did (it's on the spec). Full nonsense.

I see you and I raise you badgering brother for months about a present, getting no reply, getting a reply a week before Christmas with "but it's too late for us to order now" and responding with "I've already bought it"

And there's the reverse - I like teaching but don't want actual kids myself!

My exp was what led me to apply because I realised I quite enjoyed it (I worked in a sch in France) but I wouldn't say it was prerequisite.
