Men: what are your thoughts on the parable of the 10 virgins? I have some questions but I don’t want to lead your answers.

Great example of Jewish apocalypticism: Great Evil Force is allowed to rule the world, until Great Good Force (YHWH) heralded by the Son of Man, defeats the Evil Force and all its followers, and only those who suffered for God/prepared for his coming are spared.

Because I never thought I really understood the bible, I just took the standard LDS interpretation. Then everything fell apart and I have not gone back. Maybe it's time to read it in textual context BRB
