Men (and forgive me, but in my experience, it is *always* men) who brag about not reading fiction. It's one thing to prefer non-fiction. It's another to smugly imply that it is inherently superior.

They're the same people who will go on endlessly about the lore of their favorite piece of non-literary fiction.
