Finally, I know that tails are needed for balance of digitigrades and unguligrades and that they’d technically make less sense on furries, but I’m still biased toward tails on furries ngl
It is incredibly rare to find hominid nails on non-primate furry characters’ fingers and toes, even if they’re biped and plantigrade characters in every aspect.
The furry arts which embrace plantigrade bipedalism in their characters (like, maybe not even toe beans, but a foot-long pad and a pad for each toe) are interesting in how they treat keratin on the outer limbs: claws, nails, (mini-)hooves, etc.
Plantigrade bipedalism is such an evolutionary flex. The digitigrade or unguligrade bipedalism that you see in a huge chunk (majority?) of furry art doesn’t make sense to me.
