A sketch of an annoyed young man trying to have a quiet laze about and a smoke, but his personal space has been encroached upon by a cat who is standing upon and kneading the dough of his beer belly. He’s asking himself if he’s going to put up with this or if he is going to shoo the feline away. He is, of course, going to put up with it.

A sketch of a pair of rutting jackalopes. One has jumped high and driven its antlers down in something of a dive at its opponent who has successfully lifted its head mid leap to meet the blow.

It is pissing with rain, and a young 15 year old squire named Arley has taken shelter from the downpour under the equine body of his strange new centaur companion, Rowan. He hugs his cape around himself and sits in a tight ball on the ground, looking up at the rain dripping off Rowans horsey belly and probably asking himself a lot of questions about the choices he has made in his life that have lead to this point. Rowan meanwhile is very amused, with two hands leant against his front knees he bends over looks down under him, causing his hair to cascade down onto the floor as he smiles at the young lad.

In the sketch, Sloan, a gaunt werewolf with all the cuddly appeal of barbed wire, who you may be familiar with from your nightmares, climbs a grassy incline. On her somewhat lupine back (a definition that hinges on the idea that something terrible has happened to wolf kind) is Theo, a young man in his early twenties with a backpack and a desire to be in bed, but since he’s one of Sloan’s henchman, he’s always fresh out of luck, especially on the bed front; werewolves are not famed for their day time activities. Which is proven in this illustration as Sloan reaches a point in the journey where the morning sun has breached the mountains and thus bathes them both, from the shoulders up, in the heat of a new day. The golden light is a stark contrast from the dark bluish shadows they lurk out of and have been travelling through. Theo does not look impressed by it. Sloan gives the impression that she has seen it before, but will take advantage of the new visibility and survey their route.
