Did this with yr 10 yesterday Want them to start focusing on what's around them rather than keeping their balance

Selling my wedding shoes and bag after they’ve stayed in the wardrobe for a year! Bag is super rare - I think only ever sold in the US originally and now no longer in production. Details on Vinted if anyone is interested: www.vinted.co.uk/member/92833...

Got a friend that’s in charge of student mental health initiatives this year. She wants to make a real impact & not just token gestures, so looking for inspiration on what has worked in other settings. Particularly interested in secondary schools, but open to any insights. #ukteaching#uked#edusky

Hi James I’m not directly involved with the training on the platform so the best thing I can suggest is to use www.drfrost.org/training.php and get yourself acquainted with all the guides and Getting Started sessions. From personal use though, consistency is key! 🔑

I think it works because of the hierarchical nature of the subject though. I think if there isn’t some natural order to concepts, there’s much better ways of assessing prior knowledge in the moment. Subjects without that hierarchy are maybe easier to differentiate by outcome sometimes too? 3/3

… do baseline assessments on KS2 content to help us ID gaps in prerequisites for KS3. We’d then set based on the GAPS, rather than the scores (though the 2 correlated) We often found huge gaps in really essential knowledge and knowing everyone had similar start points made teaching much easier. 2/3

I think they’re worth it in maths. We would teach MA classes for the first week or so with carefully picked topics that all needed to access (at one school in we covered stats topics etc to prepare them for using them in science etc) and cover some KS2 in starters to help revision, then we would 1/2
