Brexit has served as a litmus test for member states ‘suffering’ from a not to ignore political wing of euro scepticism. It looks like those movements in IT, FR, NL and also in BE have gone much quieter. That’s definitely been a positive outcome. Am I a rabid Eurofile? Nope.

Realistic about the EU a global, powerful trading block? I do think so. The EU won’t become a US of E any time soon. And t could evolve to become one but there are too many players with noses in different directions. FR also look a lot at itself (and after its own interests).
