The first game is a solid arcade Gauntlet clone (a series which has trod down a similar path) with the second game receiving some high praise and an even higher aftermarket price tag. The first title nailed an arcade feel with quick gameplay and a ready amount of monsters to plow through. 3/?

The password save system allowed some pick up and play, and was easily cracked to break the game. For instance, I created a code with an overpowered Witch purely by accident. Through the community on Bluesky, I recently learned it has a hidden ending if the player takes the throne at the end. 4/4
