This atmospheric, vertiginous wonder, the 1874 Cincinnati Public Library, was demolished in 1955, and replaced by a parking garage ~ but at least we can still enjoy it in these photographs

2.5 million copies of the Keep Calm and Carry On poster were produced by the UK government in 1939, in preparation for WW2. However, it was never widely distributed & was withdrawn, only to become famous after a rare surviving original re-surfaced in 2000
