Yes. Several times since I've started I've gotten emails that are like "hey when will you send me a report/update on XYZ?" And I had never even heard of XYZ and didn't know I was supposed to be keeping track or doing that task. There are no documents or guides outlining my job or goals.

Sounds like they threw you into the deep end, have you mentioned this up the grapevine?
