I haven’t watched it yet, but I’ve been sort of curious about the Mignola documentary, and whether Scott Allie is in it. Because he’s a pretty critical part of the story, but not one that reflects well on anyone involved
It always bothers me that Mignola gets the whole "elder statesman" treatment even after he and Allie drove Arcudi, Guy Davis, Tyler Crook, and (almost) Dave Stewart off those books with their bullshit. Davis quit comics completely because Mignola fucked him over.
It feels sort of poetic, I suppose, that having someone like Scott Allie intimately involved with the broader project from the beginning ended up creatively ruining it by the end
The whole thing reflects SO badly on him - IIRC there had already been public reports of Allie’s behaviour and anyone who had the misfortune to read Abe Sapien could have told you the guy couldn’t tell a story
