Apple's whining about the NLRB case over their NDAs - pretending like NLRB & I are bullying them with lies about their work policies. Apple's claiming they've always been an open & supportive company, & never censor employees. (see left). But also Apple... (see right). www.hcamag.com/us/news/gene...

left is article from this week with quote from apple about the nlrb charge and right is the gizmodo article "apple gestapo: how apple hunts down leaks"

I asked NLRB to post copies of the complaint against Apple on their public website & they did today - but redacted it heavily. I told them I already shared the unredacted version & they haven't responded. Ya gotta tell me not to tweet or I'm gonna tweet. NLRB Complaint: www.nlrb.gov/case/32-CA-2...

"Apple could face significant legal & reputational consequences if the NLRB complaint is upheld... Apple is among a growing number of tech firms where union activity has gained traction as employees advocate for fair treatment & improved working conditions." - NASDAQ www.nasdaq.com/articles/app...

"NLRB claims Apple required employees to sign illegal confidentiality, non-disclosure & non-compete agreements; & imposed overly broad misconduct & social media policies. NLRB ask for Apple to rescind contested rules & notify its entire US workforce of their legal rights" onlabor.org/october-2-20...

On Monday, the NLRB issued a complaint accusing Apple of maintaining several unlawful workplace rules that violate employees’ rights to organize and advocate for better working conditions. The Board claims that Apple required employees to sign illegal confidentiality, non-disclosure, and non-compete agreements, and imposed overly broad misconduct and social media policies. Issuing a statement in response, Apple said it has always respected its employees’ rights to discuss wages, hours and working conditions, which is reflected in its employment policies. If the company does not settle the case, it will be heard by an administrative law judge in January. The NLRB seeks to require Apple to rescind the contested rules and notify its entire U.S. workforce of their legal rights.

Did you guys notice how they haven't even tried to dismiss the gender and disability discrimination claims? Apple's fighting just about everything else, but with the discrimination claims, Apple's like: yeah, ok, maybe we're a-holes.

I'm still very irritated with the spin & slant in most of these articles. However even if my claims were only about sex discrimination (not env/safety) & most of my claims were dismissed: I still survived 2 motions to dismiss from #BadApple & got a national NLRB complaint. That's pretty damn good 🔥

The senior manager accused Apple of deterring employees from discussing issues, such as pay equity and sex discrimination, with each other and the media by using rules related to confidentiality and social media use.

🧵 I was thinking about how much effort Apple put into smearing my lawsuit this week. They even got Reuters to lie about the nature of the case, omitting env & safety concerns. Then I remembered the TRW 5-Year Report is due. I contacted EPA tonight & they sent me a copy... It's not great for Apple. ⬇️

Finally, for your moment of zen - here's the one notice US EPA gave to the community about the Five Year Review for the Triple Site. They had it printed in a paper newspaper only (I told them that's dumb), & this is how the newspaper printed it. Page 186, next to a hunch-back court jester.
