Passion Who wants a perfect story anyway? I live the twists, the turns. Each brutal fall Drags angels to the next open highway; Each climax slows and resolves in a crawl. So what if pain is all that I can see? Each hammered nail brings nearer Paradise. To bring me nearer to that heav'nly glee Each shambling step is such small sacrifice. Yet rising, too, must not be hasty still; For joy forevermore is not enough, But take an inch: the diamond in the rough Is worth the wanton killing of my will. Tomorrow brings to heaven or to hell, Where struggles forged on yesterday can dwell.
