Thanks Peter!
For 3 years, yep!
They rung me a few hours later and I got the position :)
Interview went well :)
Infinite knowledge glitch
In undergrad when I got stuck with a derivation I would just Taylor expand and it would just sort itself out
Entering week 3 of new antidepressants, feeling the side effects and depression symptoms very heavily, and I have an interview for a college position tomorrow. Pray I make it through in 1 piece!
I agree. Not every science question you pursue will lead to a paper. Our jobs are not just writing papers and doing research.
Someone on Twitter posting about how they published 13 papers during their 2.5 year postdoc is so toxic. Over that time you should aim for 2 high quality papers and a handful of coauthors. Too many toxic working conditions going around! We are not paper making machines, we are scientists.
You don’t often get praise and recognition in academia. This email was sent out to the whole physics department today and it made me feel so proud.
