It isn’t symbolic or meaningful or an endorsement of anyone or anything when you tick the little box, it is a practical step adding your one little grain of sand to the balance to tip it away from what is unarguably a much bleaker future for the world
“Reduce advancement of Early Career Htlr” “It isn’t… an endorsement of anyone” 🤔 “There’s an agenda at play here”
It’s not an investment in one of the candidates. The question is just, “One of these people is getting the job; Who?” And it’s literally the first and most important thing democracy requires from you.
It has devolved into that. It was a meaningful endorsement at one time.
100% agree. I've hardly ever lived in the US, but I still make use of my right to vote, because it could make a real difference if enough of us living abroad do it
the number of folks who will pull the level for ECH (well named, by the by), will still break my heart - but our little grain of sands just arrived in the mail and we'll do what we can.
And that remains true even if you don't live in a swing state. Popular vote tallies matter, too -- not legally but politically. Winning the Electoral College by 1 EC vote but the popular vote by 8,000,000 lands a lot differently than eking it out with 1 EV and, say, 40,000 votes.
When I say people trying to convince you not to vote can be safely ignored I also mean please do not argue with them in my mentions. You can just block them like I do, save us all some irritation
