Yes, I was also very surprised I could see it so easily from the suburbs. Normally it doesn’t pop so much from where I live.

And just before the clouds swallowed the sky, I caught a zippy meteor, moving from overhead toward my eastern horizon. Based on its direction of travel, it was probably neither a Perseid nor a Delta Aquariid! 🔭

It started in the west, passed overhead and cut through part of the Summer Triangle, dimming as it crossed through Delphinus. I thought it was probably the International Space Station, but when I looked it up later when I came inside, I found it was the Chinese space station, Tiangong.
