BREAKING: UPS reached an agreement with their workers! I think they realized they were gonna lose the PR war quickly when they realized a national strike was gonna ground a needed service to halt with people unable to get critical deliveries. That’s why strikes are useful.
UPS reached a tentative deal on a contract with the union representing more than 325,000 workers, a key step in averting a potential strike when the current agreement expires on Aug. 1.
United Parcel Service faced a potential walkout by more than 325,000 union members when their five-year contract expired next week.
Hope they got a solid deal!
UPS definitely wasn't going to win a PR war when one of the things workers wanted was air conditioning in August (well all summer, but the strike would be August.) The record breaking heat wasn't going to help UPS's side.
Phew people would have had to use Fedex USPS DHL Amazon trucks and planesetc etc places
