I’ve repeated this quote several times these past 8 years. So many people voting against their own interests b/c they believe another to be less than.
It’s the same rhetoric as “illegal immigrants are stealing your jobs”
It’s the worst flea market you’ve ever been to. Trump sneakers, hats, watches, crypto, books, ornaments. rudy coffee and tix to a vp presidential debate viewing (yes, he tried to sell tix to people to go somewhere go watch the debate) ivermectin. guns, ammo.
Exactly. Easier to feel sorry for some of these poor dupes if they didn't come to that place by following their bigotries.

When LBJ got his civil/voting/housing right legislation through, he looked sad. Bill Moyers asked him why? He said, I just gave the South to the GOP for at least a generation. He was right.
This is why I genuinely think the best media to tackle racism in 2024 was the Doctor Who episode Dot and Bubble. Because the ending message isn't just, "Racism is bad." That drum has been beaten before. The real message of Dot and Bubble is "Racism makes you stupid and more likely to die stupidly."
