Joker 2 must’ve been the desire of someone who wanted to see Joaquin Phoenix emaciated, unshaven, shirtless and demented with the camera lens five inches from his face, TRYING SO HARD to hit the notes of classic tunes about showbiz and FAILING. The joke is on me. That was VERY BAD.
"Movies like this only seem 'indulgent' because we’re so deep into the era where everything has to be unmitigated fan service, the cinematic equivalent of cooking the Whopper exactly how the customer dreamed about ordering it, or else it’s considered a waste of time."
How many times in a filmmaker’s life do they get the chance to do something that makes no sense to anyone but them?
Unfortunate. I was looking forward to seeing Lady Gaga’s performance in it
Ai, that has, for once, been the IRL consensus around me, not just people online. Co workers. Friends. No-one seems to gel with it. (haven't seen it, nor want to, but I am fascinated by how much people don't like it)
It was so boring. Just dull.
