Not the 1st time I've heard ppl in the Romance silo getting excited by a "new" trend or "original" take on a subject that's been a standard trope in science fiction/fantasy for literally decades (if not centuries). (Only now I wonder if the romance folks may have cause to say the same about SF/F.)
